    Education

My education includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Oregon and a masters degree in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark college. In my training I was able to learn how to look at our lives in a way that includes the whole person body, mind, and spirit and I bring this into my work and personal life on a daily basis. If you leave one piece of this puzzle out then the growth will not occur, and at some times it is learning how to bring all pieces together for the first time in a harmonious balance.

I have spent time in several different training programs to strengthen my knowledge in the field. This has included the following:

    • Somatic Experiencing – Through the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute
    • EMDR – Basic I and II Trainings, along with ongoing supervision
    • Gestalt and Buddhist Psychology – Through the Gestalt Therapy Training Center Northwest
    • Maternal Mental Health Certification – Through Postpartum Support International
    • Emotion-Focused Therapy(EFT) For Couples and Individuals – Through PCEFT and ICEEFT

    My Values

    Confidentiality

Only within the confines of feeling safe and secure can true healing occur in a therapeutic setting. Confidentially is essential for this. You must feel you can trust your therapist and that all of your information and identity will be kept safe and secure. I hold this as one of the biggest values for this work.

    Creativity

Each person is unique and so each approach to therapy should as well. There are varies techniques I have taken the time to learn and understand to bring to this work, but we work together to tailer the best fit for you.

    Compassion

I bring an empathetic warmth to each person I have the privilege to sit with and join in their journey. I feel honored to be invited into peoples lives and support.

    Commitment

When I work with someone I am with them in the capacity that feels supportive and that might fluctuate thru time. I make sure each client understands that I am available when those times come up that therapy is needed even if certain lengths of time has gone by out of my practice.
